Dr. Myers was raised in Prairie Village, KS, near Kansas City. A former Eagle Scout, he had a special affinity with animals from a very young age.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Kansas State University and received his veterinary degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986.
After completing an Internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, Dr. Myers joined Arapahoe Animal Hospital as an Associate in 1987, specializing in small animal internal medicine and surgery. He joined Dr. Greg Hayes on the hospital's leadership team in 1998.
Dr. Myers and his wife, Tracey, live on a small farm (c. 1907) where, in addition to their beloved cats and dog, the barnyard family includes four goats, four sheep, two cows and four donkeys.
