Born in Tacoma, WA, and raised primarily in the Northeast, Dr. Smith received his undergraduate degree at Auburn University in Auburn, AL.
He received his veterinary degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995.
An Eagle Scout and an avid outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Smith practiced large and small animal medicine in rural Georgia before moving to Boulder County in 1997. He joined Arapahoe Animal Hospital as an Associate in 2007 to concentrate on small companion animal medicine.
In 2006, Dr. Smith was certified in veterinary acupuncture by Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine.He is especially interested in combining holistic veterinary therapies with traditional veterinary care.
